How does the Playermaker system calculate sprints?

The Playermaker system calculates your 'Sprints' and 'Sprint Distance' according to a specific speed threshold. This speed threshold must be met in order for the Playermaker system to display sprinting data above '0'.

  • See the Stats Glossary for more information on 'Sprints' and 'Sprint Distance'.

If you are NOT seeing any data in your 'Sprints' and 'Sprint Distance' metrics, or you data display is '0', then this means that you did not reach a high enough speed (the speed threshold) in order for the Playermaker system to register any sprinting metrics.

Please see Playermaker's two speed thresholds:

  1. Pro Sprint
      • Player must reach or exceed a speed of 5.5 m/s in order for the sprinting data to be above '0'.
  2. Youth Sprint
      • Player must reach or exceed a speed of 4.2 m/s in order for the sprinting data to be above '0'.

On the app, you can manually choose which speed threshold you'd like your data to be based on. Please see the following article to learn how to change your speed threshold: Youth Sprint vs Pro Sprint, which one should I pick?
